Director of Schools Don Odom is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Haley as the next principal of John Colemon Elementary School.

Haley currently serves as an assistant principal at Wilson Elementary School, a position she has held for the past three years.“I have personally observed Mrs. Haley in instructional presentations to a faculty and noted her strong skills and background knowledge of instructional practices,” Director Odom said.

Haley has approximately 23 years with Rutherford County Schools and has served as an instructional coach and as an assistant principal at David Youree and Wilson Elementary. She previously taught first grade at Wilson Elementary School and seventh grade at Roy Waldron Elementary School.

“I am excited and thankful for this new opportunity,” Haley said. “I look forward to becoming a member of the John Colemon Elementary School community and working as a team to ensure the success of all students.”

Haley succeeds Dr. Joe Phillips, who recently retired as the principal and accepted a position with Youth CAN (Career Action Network) in Rutherford County. A new assistant principal for Wilson Elementary School will be named soon.
