Within a 58-minute period of time, history was again made in the historic Rutherford County Courthouse as a new county mayor was sworn into office along with twenty-one commissioners, heads of departments and a judge.

Judge Howard Wilson swore in the majority of commissioners and department heads, that included Judge Barry Tidwell. After Tidwell received the oath of office, he then swore-in some of the remaining persons.
