Some 90,000 plus items are now on the shelves of the new Walmart Super Center on 231 South at Joe B. Jackson Parkway in Murfreesboro. The new store, which is around 200,000 square feet in size, will officially open on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Staff at the new store are currently being trained.

The first Walmart in Murfreesboro opened in 1982, when taking over Big K, which was originally located where the Murfreesboro Athletic Club (The MAC) is today.

As for the new Joe B. Jackson Bridge that will give motorist on 231 South direct access to I-24... that should open within the next few weeks.
