Newly elected City Councilman Bill Shacklett to be sworn in

Toby Gilley, who gave up his seat Sept. 1 to serve an a General Sessions Judge, will swear-in the newest Murfreesboro City Council member, Bill Shacklett, during a special ceremony, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Rotunda. Gilley served on the Council for more than 13 years.

Who: Newly-elected Murfreesboro City Council Member Bill Shacklett will be sworn-in.

What: General Sessions Judge Toby Gilley will perform official installation of the oath of office.

Bill Shacklett fills the seat vacated by Toby Gilley who resigned from the City Council Sept. 1 after being elected as a General Sessions Judge. Shacklett previously served on the City Council from 2002 to 2006. For additional information on the Murfreesboro City Council visit the City website.
