Blackman comes from behind and defeats Riverdale 23-22 for a big region win against their rival.

The Blaze trailed the entire game until quarterback Drew Beam, on 4th and 18, connected with Emilio Martin on this long pass with 17-seconds remaining in the game:

Beam was 17-of-29 and threw for 286-yards and two touchdowns. His counterpart for the Warriors, Taylor Yancy, also had a great night leading his team. He was 16-of-28 for 134 yards passing and a touchdown. He also scrambled 25-yards for the first TD of the game:

The Warriors built a 13-0 lead, which grew to 16-3 at the half. And with 2:36 in the third, Yancy found C.J. Johnson

After that, the Blaze offense grabbed momentum. A 23-yard pass from Beam to Keionte Newson just before the end of the third quarter cut the lead to 12. And after a Riverdale interception, Newson found the endzone again:

Blackman ended the game with 341-yards of total offense, 286 passing and 55 rushing. Riverdale had 267 yards total offense. 134 through the air, 133 on the ground.

The Blaze will host Oakland next Friday night - a game on WGNS State Farm Prep Football! Riverdale travels to Siegel.
