Oakland Wins Battle of the 'Boro; All RuCo FB Scores

Oakland wins their eighth in a row over Riverdale with a 31-14 win.

The Patriots scored the first 17 points in the game, the first score was a 19-yard run by senior Tim Pannell:

Pannell had seven carries for 77-yards and two touchdowns on the night. Riverdale found an answer with about two-minutes left in the first half on a big run by senior quarterback Taylor Yancy:

The Patriots took a 24-7 lead in the third quarter but the Warriors answered early in the fourth to cut the lead to 10. But Oakland went on a five-minute drive, which was capped by this Jordan Brown run:

Brown, in his first full game in the backfield for the Patriots, had 23-carries for 165-yards and the TD. Riverdale senior running back Drew Smith carried it 17 times for 105-yards. Yancy was 12-of-21 passing for 125-yards and two rushing touchdowns for the Warriors.

Oakland goes to Coffee County next Friday night while Riverdale hosts Warren County.
