Nude Wallpaper in Rutherford County Courthouse to be Replaced

The controversy over nude women wallpaper in the Rutherford County Courthouse second floor meeting room, that is adjacent to the courtroom, will finally be put to rest with new wallpaper. The change is part of a restoration project of the courthouse that was undertaken this year.

County Mayor Bill Ketron stated...

In addition to new wallpaper without a nude cherub of some sort on it, the courtroom will also get new sound and audio equipment, because county commission meetings are broadcast via live-stream online.

On a side note, the wallpaper that was installed in the 90's was historically correct for the courthouse, but, after some residents had an issue with the nude women on the paper - every nude woman was stenciled over.
