Nissan North America to build a van for Chevrolet

Nissan’s entry has just begun to sell in the U.S., and the automaker is attempting to keep its plant in Mexico busy, even if it’s making a vehicle for a competitor. While some parts could be made in the United States, the majority of the Chevrolet City Express will be built at a Nissan plant in Cuernavaca, Mexico. The van is a no-frills 4-cylinder made for fuel-efficiency and inexpensive running costs. It starts at approximately $20,000. Nissan, which already sells the same van as the NV200, will simply substitute their emblems with that of the Chevrolet grille and badges.
