No arrests yet in the Nashville Motor Cars Fraud / Theft Case in Murfreesboro

Reports are still coming into the Murfreesboro Police Department in regards to Nashville Motor Cars, a car dealer that folded this past June.

The most recent report was filed this past week. A man who bought a BMW from Nashville Motor Cars told police that he paid for the vehicle in full with cash. The problem is, the victim never received a title for the car that he paid for. He told officers that he waited to file the report in hopes that he was not one of the victims of fraud as we previously reported.

You may recall this past June WGNS reported that multiple police reports were filed by individuals who had cars at the Broad Street dealer on consignment or who had purchased cars and never received titles.

Cars that were on consignment went missing on June 19, 2015 and multiple residents also reported trading in cars with the agreement that loans for their old car would be paid off, but never were.

To date, the cars have not been returned and old car loans for trade ins have not been paid. This has left some Rutherford County residents with an old car loan and a new car loan. Furthermore, many customers never received titles for the cars they bought.

The case has yet to net an arrest as of Sunday, December 6, 2015.
