Northfield man accused of sexually attacking teen walking dog

A 34 year old man in Murfreesboro has been arrested and charged with sexual battery. The suspect was accused of attacking a woman outside of Haynes Manor Apartments as she was walking her dog.

The 18 year old victim told police the man introduced himself as "Mike" and asked if he could hold her dog, which she allowed. The man then gave the dog back and the victim said when he handed her the dog, he grabbed her breast.

The victim told police that after the incident occurred, she became scared and hurried back to her apartment.

Murfreesboro Police Detective Tommy Roberts investigated the case and later presented their findings to the Rutherford County Grand Jury. Later, charges were handed down which led to the arrest of Mokbel Massoud, who evidently goes by the nickname of "Mike," according to a police arrest report.

The suspect, who lives at Haynes Manor Apartments, will appear in circuit court on August 14, 2017. Massoud is currently free on bond.
