Oakland A's Pitcher Sonny Gray to Head to the Smyrna Boys and Girls Club on Saturday

A celebration welcoming home Oakland A's Sonny Gray will be held at the Boys & Girls Club (Smyrna Unit) 198 Culbertson Street, in Smyrna, TN this Saturday (January 25) from 6:30PM-8:30PM.

Sonny is son of Cindy and the late Jesse Gray. Sonny grew up in Smyrna, Tennessee and played baseball for Smyrna High School. He was later named the pitcher for the Oakland A's! He was a first-round draft pick by the Oakland Athletics in the 2011 MLB Draft. 

WGNS was told that you should bring your baseball, glove, t-shirt, and bat with you to be autographed by Sonny for only $10, with 100% of the proceeds going towards local Smyrna charities.

Additional: The celebration will feature speakers including State Representative Mike Sparks, Jeff Hollingshead and of course - Smyrna's Sonny Gray.
