Oakland Blanks Maryville 38-0; Play Whitehaven for State Title

Oakland turned in a dominating performace over Maryville in the Class 6A semifinal game at Ray Hughes Stadium Friday:

Bryan Barrett with the call on State Farm Prep Football. The Patriots forced six Maryville turnovers - three fumbles and three interceptions, the first one by junior cornerback De'Arre McDonald was the first touchdown of the game:

Safety DeDe Anderson and linebacker Quinton Buczynski also had picks while Malik Siebert, Kameron Goodrich and Aaron Moore recovered Rebel fumbles.

The shutout of Maryville was the first in 18-years for the Rebels, who had only 131-yards total offense.

Oakland was able to rack up 222-yards in offense, including a 9:54, 16-play, 80-yard drive which was capped off with this Woodi Washington touchdown run:

Oakland will play the Whitehaven Tigers Thursday night at 7 o'clock, in a rematch of the 2016 state title game.
