Oakland Downs Siegel 50-14

A tight first quarter followed by 36-unanswered points leads Oakland to a 50-14 win over rival Siegel.

The Stars scored first and after the Patriots tied it two-minutes later, running back Leland Wilhoite gets loose:


It took Oakland only 29-seconds to answer to tie the game at 14. But in the second quarter, the Patriots take the lead for good on one of running back Jeron Rooks' five touchdowns on the night:


Rooks wound up with 182-yards on 17 carries and also had a 27-yard reception.

Siegel was led by Wilhoite's 142-yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.

Oakland goes to Cookeville next Friday night in a battle of top ranked Region 3-6A teams. Siegel goes to Coffee County.
