Oakland Historic House "Jamboree" Huge Success!

The 2016 Jamboree at Oaklands Historic House Museum on Friday evening (7/22/2016) was filled with supporters, great food and toe tap'n music.

It was just like stepping back in time, as this historic southern plantation opened its arms and charmingly welcomed guests to celebrate memories of the past.

Uncle Bud's provided delicious southern fried chicken, catfish, and all the "fixins". In addition to the food, The Knott Brothers kept the evening alive with their down-home music. Plus, Tennessee's own Prichard's Distillery offered special tastings.

A special thanks to the Oaklands Association, staff and community supporters who continue to preserve this area's rich history, thus enabling future generations to experience life at the 1860's Oaklands' plantation, which was caught in the middle of the Civil War with both Confederate and Union soldiers staying there.
