The Oakland Patriots take their 13-1 record to Cookeville to battle Memphis Whitehaven for the Class 6A Blue Cross Bowl Championship Thursday night.

Coach Kevin Creasy says their goal this season has been to win their last game:

Two years ago, Oakland lost 12-9 to Whitehaven. After avenging last year's semifinal loss to Maryville with a 38-0 win, they hope to do it again Thursday night with a state championship win over the Tigers.

Coverage on NewsRadio WGNS will begin at 6:15pm, with an extended Primetime Sports Countdown to Kickoff, sponsored by the Law Offices of John Day. Kickoff from Tucker Stadium at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville will be at 7pm.
