Oakland-Riverdale Alumni Football Game Saturday

The two oldest high schools in Murfreesboro will clash on the football field - old school style - this Saturday. It's the second annual Oakland-Riverdale Football Alumni Football game. It will be held at 7pm at Oakland High School.

James Howse, who played on the 1984 state championship Oakland football team, says he's excited the game will be played again...

Dave Thomas was the 2004 Mr. Football for Tennessee and was on the team as Riverdale won state titles in 2001 and 2004. He says the alumni game offers current and future players the opportunity to see those who helped lay the foundation at each school...

The event was held last year at Riverdale. But again - this year's Oakland-Riverdale Alumni Football game will be held at Oakland's Ray Hughes Stadium at 7pm this Saturday.
