The event is free to Oaklands members, and everyone has an opportunity to join Monday night. They would like to know that you are coming, so please e-mail them at info@oaklandsmansion.org or phone 615-893-0022.

See how this group of supporters of local history have worked to restore this treasure to its original beauty. One of the evening's goals is to collect funds to restore the elegant mirror in the front parlor. This mirror dates 1850's-1870's and was donated by a Darrow family descendant. Oral history from the family stated that this mirror hung at Oak Manor. This stunning piece of our collection is now on our list of items that is in need of restoration and a focus of our fundraising needs.

The Darrow family lived in Oaklands from 1890 to 1912 and were the second family to live here. Many of the family furnishings from the Maney family stayed at Oaklands and were purchased by the Darrow's when they moved in.
