Old housing complex in Murfreesboro is being transformed into a training ground now

In past newscast, WGNS told you about the future of the old Franklin Heights housing complex that once housed low income individuals in Murfreesboro. The Murfreesboro City Council agreed to buy the property in 2016 and turn it into a fire and police training center. The complex is now being transformed into a training ground.

Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland explains why such a project is important.


The former housing complex sits at the corner of Bridge Avenue and Highway 99 in Murfreesboro.
