A one car crash on East Jefferson Pike at Declaration Road Monday morning (11/25/2013) resulted in minor injuries, according to a telecommunicator at the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office.The 911 call was received at 11:32, and the mini-van ran off the roadway and hit a utility pole.

The Lascassas Volunteer Fire and Rescue worked with sheriff's deputies as well as the Rutherford County Special Operations Unit.

The narrow roadway with no emergency sides, only a drop-off, is a major problem. East Jefferson Pike is one of the state roads constructed for smaller amounts of traffic than they now get.
