That was Ann Compton. Tuesday was November 5th and for some that means Election Day, however that was not the case in communities like Rutherford County.

We spoke to Rutherford County Administrator of Elections Nichole Lester and she told us that if you were confused about elections on Tuesday… you were not alone. Lester says they received about a dozen or so calls from local residents asking if Tuesday was an election day for any races in our area? The answer, “NO.” This is not even an election year, although a lot of people have been declaring their run for office in recent days. 

The next election inside Rutherford County is the Murfreesboro Election on April 15th of 2014. Lester said that election will be for seats on the city school board, the city council and the seat for Mayor of Murfreesboro.
