A Collegedale, Tennessee City Police Officer apparently forgot his off-duty gun in a Murfreesboro hotel room. Collegedale is near Chattanooga, Tennessee.

When the officer noticed the Smith & Wesson revolver was left behind, he quickly called the hotel and Murfreesboro Police were summoned to the Embassy Inn and Suites on Medical Center Parkway. The gun was located in a night stand.

The gun and several bullets were locked up at the police department in Murfreesboro for safe keeping.
