Over $10,000 in equipment stolen from local apartment complex

Have you bought any used construction related equipment lately? It may be stolen.

Over $10,000 in contracting equipment was thieved from Raiders Crossing Apartments in Murfreesboro several days ago and to date, has not been recovered. Everything from a $1,000 paint sprayer to $2,800 carpet extractors (two) were taken from a supply building at the local complex.

The maintenance supervisor realized the theft and reported it to police. Serial numbers for every piece of equipment were entered into the National Crime and Information Center database. If anything is sold to a pawn shop around the nation, it will be flagged in the system and authorities will be notified.

So far, no suspects have been named in the theft.
