Murfreesboro Police are investigating the theft of checks from a South Church Street business, resulting in over 17-thousand dollars in bad checks being written. Just after 2 Thursday afternoon, authorities were called to the business after the victim reported three checks had been cashed at U.S. Bank. Three checks, totalling 17-thousand, 510 dollars were written to three different people and cashed at the bank on November 15th. That's the same month the company's mailbox was broken into and several checks stolen.
