Paint Your Habitat "Cook'in To Build" Bowls Now thru Oct. 15

(MUFREESBORO) Individuals are painting their bowls now through October 15th for the 11th Annual Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity Cookin' To Build on Saturday, November 3, 2017 from 11:00 that morning until 1:30 in the afternoon.

All You can Eat! Over 30 non-profits, civic groups and businesses compete with their favorite chilis, soups, stews and gumbos! There will be "live" music too. All this for only $20.

Habitat's Executive Director Terri Shultz said, "To enjoy the event even more, start the tradition of painting your own personal bowl."

Paint your own bowl between now and October 15, 2018.

Habitat's Megan Hutchings said, "It will be waiting for you to pickup at COOKIN' TO BUILD tent on the morning of the event. All painters are asked to pre-purchase your bowl at the time you paint it. For your donation of $20 made to Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity, we will have your bowl in a designated area on the day of the event."

Create your bowl at either of the POTTERY PLACE locations here in Murfreesboro (Wendellwood Circle, between to Newk's and Sprout's off Memorial; or the other location in the Avenue of Murfreesboro at 2615 Medical Center Parkway (between Petco and Michaels. Paint your bowls between now and October 15, 2018 at either of the two Pottery Place locations.

The Pottery Place is in the Avenue of Murfreesboro (2615 Medical Center Pkwy, Suite 470). In the Avenue, they are near Petco and Michael's. Murfreesboro's second Pottery Place is at 149 Wendelwood Drive--that's just off Memorial Boulevard, between Sprout's Grocery and Newk's Restaurant.

Again people are aleady painting their bowls--now through October 15, 2018. Hours at The Pottery Place are Monday through Saturday from 10AM-9PM, and Sunday Noon-6PM.

Enjoy Cook'in To Build November 3rd

In addition to the delicious soups, chili and stews, there will be "live" music around the courthouse.In addition to the delicious soups, chili and stews, there will be "live" music around the courthouse.

The cool November Saturday will be filled with delicious homemade soups, stews and chili that are created by civic and social groups, churches and other non-profits. They compete fro the BEST ENTRY. When you arrive at Cookin' To Build, you will select a colorful, hand-painted bowl and walk around the courthouse, enjoying the delicious soups, stews and chili. Of course, you can make the day even more fun...create your own bowl in the two-month period prior to the event.
