Pair Charged with Coin Store Burglary

A Murfreesboro man and woman were arrested and charged with the burglary of Jim's Coin Service on South Spring Street. Twenty-eight year old Ashley Sue Rowan of Pecan Court and 27-year old Shawn M. Tunnicliff of East State Street were arrested Saturday around 4am. Murfreesboro Police were alerted to the business by an alarm. Officer Klint Hill located the suspects near the business and they were reportedly in possession of coins, totaling less than 500-dollars. Also, the officer reports glass from broken cases in the business were also found on Rowan and Tunnicliff. Both face charges of commercial burglary, vandalism over one-thousand dollars and theft under 500-dollars. Tunnicliff was booked on 12-thousand, 500 bond and Rowan on 11-thousand, 500 bond. They'll both answer to the charges in General Sessions Court on August 11th.
