A pedestrian was struck and killed by an oncoming truck around 2:00 o'clock Wednesday (4/15/2020) afternoon in Murfreesboro. The accident happened in front of the Dodge's Store at 510 NW Broad Street.

Witnesses told Murfreesboro police officers that the pickup truck and trailer did not stop after hitting the victim. A surveillance camera as well as a motorist with a cell phone camera took a photo of the vehicle involved.

Police indicate they have located the truck. Again, the truck has been found.

The Murfreesboro Police Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is gathering evidence and they are calling on any members of the community who might have seen this incident to call and share your information.

To recap what occurred, a pedestrian was killed on NW Broad Street in front of Dodge's Store around 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Reports indicate the driver of the truck left the fatal accident scene after striking the pedestrian.
