Pedestrian struck by car on Monday in Murfreesboro

A 33 year old Murfreesboro man was struck by a car while walking across Greenland Drive on Monday afternoon around 3. After the man landed on the hood of the vehicle, the driver told the victim that he did not have any insurance. The man then offered the victim a ride to the emergency room. The victim hopped in the car and the two headed to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Once at the hospital, the driver who hit the victim left. The victim was diagnosed by doctors with three cracked ribs and later went to the Murfreesboro Police Department to file an accident report.

Police have the name of the suspect, but no charges have been filed.
