Peter D's American Southern Bistro has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator's 2017 Restaurant Awards. The restaurant is recognized among other winners from all over the globe as a top destination for wine lovers.

Peter D's founder, Peter Demos stated, "From the very start, Kristin and I wanted to bring a different restaurant to Murfreesboro including a great wine presence from the Riedel stemware to the number of selection of the wines. We have worked hard with a wine expert slowly integrating the wine selection to reach over 109 different bottles of wine covering a wide range. We are thrilled to be recognized as the only restaurant in Murfreesboro to achieve this prestigious national award."

Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world's best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award--with 2,335; 1,168; and 89 winners this year in each respective category. Five of the Grand Award winners are first timers.

Peter D's has won the Award of Excellence.

The Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
