A 50-year old man from Murfreesboro was charged for the 11th time with "Driving on a Revoked License." The charge came early Tuesday morning when Kerry M. McCroskey was pulled over on East Main Street due to a brake light being out.

When police approached McCroskey in the truck, he immediately told them that his license was suspended. Officers then asked for permission to search the Chevy pick-up and quickly received the green-light from McCroskey. Officers then found several small pieces of crack cocaine. Both McCroskey and passenger Shalondra Butler denied ownership of the crack. Therefore, both were charged with the possession of the crack because neither of the two claimed single ownership of the drug. While McCroskey was arrested, Butler was only issued a misdemeanor citation.

When police ran a driver's license check, they found that McCroskey had 10 prior convictions for "Driving on a Suspended License." Police then found several more small pieces of crack on McCroskey. As a result, he was charged with not only drug possession, but also "Driving on a Revoked License," for an 11th time. He was also served a warrant for failing to appear in court for a past case.
