No. 1 seed Oakland had no problem dominating William Blount in the opening round of the TSSAA state playoffs on Friday night as the Patriots rolled to a 49-7 home victory.

There was a whipping at "The Inferno" in Murfreesboro Friday night during the first round of the TSSAA 6A playoffs, as the Blackman Blaze (9-2,6-1) gave visiting Dobyns Bennett (4-7,2-5) a 56-10 thrashing.
