Blackman beat Oakland 28-21 last year to open the season at home, but lost to them 20-9 in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. The Patriots are 10-and-6 all time against the Blaze. They won five in a row between 2005 and 2009. Since 2010, Oakland is 4-and-3. That includes meeting the last two years in the playoffs in the quarterfinals.
