PUBLIC COMMENTS At City Hall 6:00PM Thursday Night

(MURFREESBORO) There will be a special public meeting about the potential merger of Murfreesboro Electric and Middle Tennessee Electric just before the Murfreesboro City Council votes on the issue Thursday night (12/19/2019).

The public will have an opportunity to speak to council members, electric officials and those in attendance the the PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD begins at 6:00PM.

"Allowing the public to express views of a broad nature to the Council is in keeping with our goal of engaging our community," said Mayor Shane McFarland. "Council values the ideas and opinions of the citizens and incorporates them into our decisions."

3-Minutes Talk Time

Persons wishing to speak should register by calling the Mayor's office at 615-849-2629 or e-mail Kenya Tigg at ktigg@murfreesborotn.gov and give their name and address. Pre-registered speakers will have three (3) minutes to address the Council.

If time allows, others attending the meeting may also speak.
