Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: There will be alternating lane closures on NW Broad Street, Ridgley Road and W College Street for underground utility crossing. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Broadmor Blvd is closed to through traffic for utility crossing and general construction work. W Lytle Street and a short segment of College St and Burton St are also closed to traffic for construction work. Retaining wall work continues as part of the southwest and southeast ramps for the new overpass. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Sewer Pump Station Project (NW Broad St at Battlefield Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5 pm: Contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be installing sewer lines within TDOT right-of-way/Battlefield Pkwy. A small section of Battlefield Pkwy is closed. Underground bore work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

W Lytle Street Relocation Project (NW Broad St to Barker St)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: W Lytle Street is also closed to traffic at NW Broad Street for construction work. Paving work continues on Lytle St. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

W Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker St to Church St)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday, August 1: W Lytle Street will be closed to through traffic between Walnut St and Maple St for construction work. The intersection of W Lytle St and Walnut St will be also closed. Access to local businesses will be kept open at all times. Message boards and appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E Main St)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: The contractor has implemented the next phase of the traffic control plan on Middle Tennessee Blvd. Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd has been shifted to the east side and reduced to two-lanes two-way between E Main St and Greenland Dr. E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd are only open to local traffic. Appropriate traffic control signs and message boards will be in place.

TDOT Roadway Improvement Project (Singer Road between NW Broad St and CSX Railroad)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday, March 14 - Wednesday, August 31: The contractor for TDOT will be closing Singer Rd between NW Broad St and CSX Tracks to make roadway improvements. Access to and from businesses and residents will be from Florence Road.

Private Development Roadway Improvement Work (Veterans Pkwy just north of Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm: Traffic signal and pavement markings work continues on Veterans Pkwy north of Old Fort Pkwy and Old Fort Pkwy just east of Veterans Pkwy. There will be minor lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Private Development Utility Work (Crestland Ave just south of Greenland Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be installing water lines and taps on Crestland Ave just south of Greenland Dr. Traffic on Crestland Ave will eb reduced to one lane flagging operation. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Private Development Pavement Marking Work (Memorial Blvd at Lt Patrick McBride)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be installing pavement markings at the intersection of Memorial Blvd and Lt. Patrick McBride. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Private Development Turn Lane and Median Improvements (Medical Center Pkwy east of Gateway Blvd)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be construction turn lanes and median modification work on Medical Center Pkwy just east of Gateway Blvd. Eastbound traffic on Medical Center Pkwy will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. Westbound lanes will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Rutherford County Judicial Center Project (between Burton St and Lytle St)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 - Friday, March 31, 2017: As part of the Rutherford County Judicial Center construction, Burton St between Maple St and Church St will be closed to traffic to make roadway improvements. Burton St traffic will be detoured onto Lytle St. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Rehabilitation Work

1) Greenland Dr just east of Old Lascassas Pike - 8/2 & 8/3 (night time work between 9 pm and 5 am)

2) Memorial Blvd between S Entrance to McCalisters and Sulphur Spring Rd - 8/5 (between 9 am and 3 pm)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday: The contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be performing manhole rehabilitation/repairs and clean-up work of the sewer lines. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

City Urban Environmental Department Tree Removal (E Main St between Apollo Dr and Ragland Ct)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday, Weather Permitting, 8:30 am to Noon: Urban Environmental crews will be removing a tree on E Main St between Apollo Dr and Ragland Ct. Traffic on E Main St will be reduced to one lane flagging operation. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM: City paving contractor will be raising castings, milling and paving the following streets:

1) Veterans Pkwy between Barfield Park Entrance and S Church St - Striping

2) Northfield Blvd between Sulphur Springs Rd and Broad St - Signal Loop installation

3) Heritage Park Dr between Memorial Blvd and Northfield Blvd - Milling

4) Glen Haven Dr between Parkview Terrace and Broadlands Dr - Milling

5) Broadlands Dr between Glen Haven Dr and Cul-de-sac - Milling

6) Dow St - Milling

7) Cross St - Paving

8) Murfree Dr - Paving

There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
