The rape of a 19-year old Murfreesboro woman was reported on Tuesday. Police were called to The Grove Apartment complex off of Halls Hill Pike by the victim's roommate.

Once on the scene, police say the victim was found to be distraught and intoxicated. She was taken to St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro where she met with detectives.

The case is under investigation.
