A man who was arrested on a charge of aggravated rape this past June will face the Rutherford County Circuit Courts on Tuesday (Nov. 19, 2013) to file a plea. 22-year old Phillip Shook was charged with aggravated rape and booked into the local jail where he has remained since June. The suspect's home address was listed as the Regal Inn in Murfreesboro. Shook was placed under a $75,000 bond. When he appears in court on Tuesday, he will be represented by a public defender that is funded by taxpayers.

In June, when the suspect was arrested, The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation documented on their website that 17 convicted sex offenders were living at 2025 South Church Street, which is the address of the Regal Inn (as of 6/2/13). Of the 17, 13 of them were classified as being "VIOLENT." No other single address in Murfreesboro had as many sex offenders as the address of 2025 S. Church St.in June. Today, there are a total of 11 sex offenders living at that address.
