Reeves-Sain Co Owner to Help Shane McFarland Team

Two-term Murfreesboro City Council Member and mayoral candidate Shane McFarland announced the addition of Reeves-Sain Pharmacy co-owner Rick Sain to his campaign team. Sain will serve as McFarland’s campaign treasurer.

"Because Shane is a small business owner and long time resident, he is committed to our community’s economic development, quality of life and small business growth—therefore I’m very proud to be Shane’s campaign treasurer," Sain said.

Sain has received numerous awards in pharmacy throughout the State of Tennessee, including Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year early in his career and has recently led the State as President of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association.  His service to the Tennessee Society of Independent Pharmacists and the National Community Pharmacists Association has helped him stay aware of current issues facing pharmacists and the health care community today. He continues to serve on many community boards and has increased his commitment to supporting philanthropies throughout Middle Tennessee by forming a 501(c)(3), Reeves-Sain Foundation.

Sain’s vision has grown to become one of the leading providers of pharmacy and health services in Tennessee. Reeves-Sain Family of Medical Services, located in Murfreesboro, offers a drug store, a medical store, extended care pharmacy, infusion services and wellness programs.

McFarland, an MTSU graduate, began Shane McFarland Construction in 2008. He is vice chair of the Master Custom Builders Council. McFarland serves on Murfreesboro’s Pension and Golf commissions and is president of the Linebaugh Library Foundation board. He is a past Discovery Center and Special Kids board member and Noon Rotary secretary. McFarland is a founding board member and treasurer of the Murfreesboro Half Marathon and coaches his sons’ baseball team. Shane and his wife Ashley are raising three sons.
