Several local softball and baseball teams are a week away from making it to next week's Spring Fling. In baseball, Riverdale, Oakland, Central Magnet and MTCS will play tonight (Monday) along with Smyrna and Riverdale in softball. Riverdale baseball will host Columbia tonight at 6pm. WGNS coverage will begin at 5:45pm. Also, Oakland will travel to Tullahoma for their game at 6:30pm. MTCS will host East Robertson at the same time at Joe Baron Field. Also, Central Magnet will tangle with Sequatchie County at 5 this afternoon at Starplex. 

In softball action tonight, Smyrna will host Tullahoma while Riverdale travels to Shelbyville. Tonight's winners will play Wednesday in the region finals and will secure a sectional berth, one step away from the Spring Fling. Also, several track, tennis and boys soccer teams will compete in regional play this week.
