Well, it is not a total eclipse of the heart this time, but instead a total eclipse of the sun.

The total solar eclipse will occur on Monday, August 21, 2017. The event has been described as the "Great American Eclipse." On Aug. 21st, people across the United States will see the sun disappear behind the moon. The last time a total solar eclipse was visible across the entire United States was in 1918.

Murfreesboro eye doctor Craig McCabe told WGNS that the community should be prepared for it so that they can enjoy it. One of the needed items to look at the sun are specialized glasses, which are being sold at Dr. McCabe's office on Heritage Park Drive in Murfreesboro (122 Heritage Park Dr Ste 100, Murfreesboro, TN 37129). The glasses are only $5 each.

In Middle Tennessee, you will be able to see the eclipse at around 1:30 in the afternoon on August 21st. The total solar eclipse occurs when the moon appears to completely cover the sun.
