Rep. Dawn White thinking Education and Transportation in Rutherford County

Representative Dawn White (R-Murfreesboro) has been appointed to serve on the House Transportation Committee and the House Education Administration and Planning Committee and Subcommittee for the 109th General Assembly.

"I am excited to begin work with the Transportation Committee in the upcoming session. With the continued growth in Rutherford County, transportation is certainly a significant issue to our community. I am honored to do my part in working to address this important subject," said White.

House Speaker Beth Harwell (R-Nashville) added, "It is a pleasure guiding the House of Representatives and working alongside talented and dedicated individuals like Representative White. Together, I am confident we are going to accomplish a great deal this session for all Tennesseans."

"As a former teacher in the Murfreesboro City School System, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving on one of the House's Education Committees. I look forward to continuing to work to improve our state's public education system," White said.

Rep. White is currently serving her second term in the Tennessee House of Representatives. She was recently elected by her colleagues to serve as Caucus Secretary for the House Republican Caucus for the 109th General Assembly. She lives in Murfreesboro and represents District 37 in Rutherford County, which includes portions of Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, Walter Hill and Leanna.
