Representative Dawn White (R-Murfreesboro) was unanimously elected by her colleagues on Thursday to serve in leadership positions in the Tennessee House Republican Caucus for the 110th General Assembly.

Rep. White, who previously served as Caucus Secretary for the 109th General Assembly, was re-elected to serve a second term in that role. Rep. White was also elected to the additional office of House Republican Caucus Treasurer for the upcoming General Assembly.

"The trust my fellow members have demonstrated by allowing me to continue to serve them in leadership is truly humbling," White said. "I am excited to be given the opportunity to serve the House Republican Caucus in this expanded role, and look forward to working with my colleagues to continue moving our state forward with common sense conservative solutions," said White.

The House Republican Caucus, comprised of seventy-four of the ninety-nine members of the Tennessee House of Representatives, voted Thursday to fill leadership positions for the upcoming legislative term, which will convene on January 10, 2017.

Rep. White, a former small business owner and teacher, was re-elected to a third term in the General Assembly earlier this month. She lives in Murfreesboro and represents District 37 in Rutherford County, which includes portions of Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, Walter Hill and Leanna.
