DUI Checkpoints continue in Rutherford County, but not this week as previously reported. The Smyrna Police Department had to change the date of two checkpoints that were supposed to happen on Thursday night and move it to next Thursday instead. The new date will be September 12th. The locations will remain the same. Captain Jeffery Dwyer told WGNS the checkpoints had to be moved due to a scheduling conflict.

Checkpoint #1  will begin at 8:00pm at the intersection of Old Nashville Highway and Rocky Fork Road.
