Ribbon Cutting for New Murfreesboro School was this past Sunday

This past Sunday, the Murfreesboro School System unveiled the brand new Salem Elementary.

The new school is located at Veterans Parkway and Saint Andrews Drive (3400 Saint Bernard Way in Murfreesboro).

Salem Elementary has an anticipated enrollment of 730 students for 2019-20 school year with the capacity of 1,000 students. The school will be known as the Salem Saints and the Saint Bernard dog will serve as the official school mascot. The school colors are Carolina Blue, Navy and Golden Tan. The new principal is Trey Duke and Assistant Principal is Sia Phillips.

Principal Duke notes that students and teachers will work in a hands-on learning atmosphere focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).

Again, the ribbon cutting was held this past Sunday (July 28, 2019) at Salem Elementary.
