The screams of her child alerted a Richardson Avenue woman of an attempted burglary. Murfreesboro Police responded to the home on Saturday around 6:45 in the morning. The victim told police she was upstairs brushing her teeth when she heard the screams. When she went to investigate, she discovered a black male standing running away from the home after kicking in the front door. The suspect was reported to be around five-foot-seven inches tall, medium build with short hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt at the time of the attempted robbery. A K-9 officer was brought to the scene, however there are no suspects at this time.
