The Riverdale girls downed Arlington (67-50) as they began their quest for a fourth Class AAA state championship in a row:

The Lady Warriors had a 29-27 lead at halftime Wednesday afternoon, holding off the Lady Tigers who trailed by 10 at one point. But Riverdale pulled away with a 19-to-9 third quarter, which senior guard Jalyn Holcomb talks about:

Riverdale coach Amy Josephson says it was like they played two completely different halves:

The Lady Warriors were led in scoring by senior Aislynn Hayes, who had 22 points. Junior Alasia Hayes added 21.

Riverdale will play Houston, which was a 65-58 winner over Mt. Juliet in the semifinals on Friday at 1:15pm from MTSU's Murphy Center. It's a rematch of last year's state championship game. You can hear the game with Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins on State Farm Prep Basketball beginning at 1pm. The winner will advance to the Class AAA state championship game on Saturday afternoon.

You can listen back to the game broadcast, comments from players and an interview with Coach Josephson at WGNSSports.com.
