The Riverdale girls claim the Region 4AAA championship with a 74-54 win over Stewarts Creek.

The Lady Warriors came out red hot in the game and led 21-10 after the first quarter. They continued to build on their lead each quarter (13 at half, 19 after three) and won by 20 over the Lady Red Hawks, who they just edged by two last week in the district title game.

Riverdale got 32 points from McDonald's All American and Miss Basketball finalist Anastasia Hayes. Brinae Alexander had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Stewarts Creek was led by Brianah Ferby's 17 points. Twin sister Brandi chipped in 11.

Riverdale will host the Region 3AAA runner up on Saturday in the girls sectional while Stewarts Creek travels to the 3AAA champion. Bradley Central will play Cumberland County in that title game Thursday night. They were originally scheduled to play it Wednesday, but with schools being canceled due to inclement weather in Bradley County, the game was postponed.
