Riverdale Grad Jackson Lee Jones Places In Top 15 Public Speakers in Anaheim Event

Jackson Lee Jones, who graduated this spring from Riverdale High School, placed in the "Top 15 in the nation for public speaking" at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda conference in Anaheim, California.

Jones competed against top speakers from around the country and the world on June 27th through the 30th at the Hilton.

The comprehensive competitive events were sponsored by Future Business Leaders of America and -Phi Beta Lambda. Individuals, state teams, and local chapters were encouraged to compete in any of the over 50 different events representing a wide range of activities and the business and leadership development focus o the two organizations. This prestigious group has a membership of 250,000 students and advisers and represent some of the best and brightest of today’s youth.
 
Jackson Jones competed against the Nation’s State Future Business Leaders of America winners in the category of Public Speaking 2. He was the only individual from the State of Tennessee to advance to the national finals, and now is among the Top 15 in the Nation for Public Speaking 2.  Jones graduated this year from Riverdale High School where he received the FBLA Elaine McClain Memorial Scholarship. He will be attending MTSU in the fall studying Mass Communications.
