A Circuit Court case for a Riverdale High School teen placed in state custody for attacking football coach Ron Aydelott has been remanded back to Juvenile Court, records show.

Murfreesboro Post writer Sam Stockard says an appeal of a Juvenile Court decision filed on behalf of Damonte Grizzard, 17, was dismissed in Circuit Court Monday morning and sent back to Juvenile Court, according to the Circuit Court Clerk's office.

Juvenile Court Judge Donna Scott Davenport placed Grizzard, who will be 18 in October, in the custody of the Department of Children's Services in a June 4th hearing. Davenport refused to release him to his mother and committed him for an undetermined period to DCS, which was to decide what type of treatment he needs for three disorders and "anger management" problems.

Davenport found Grizzard delinquent of aggravated assault in an April 21 attack on Aydelott, who testified he was sitting at his desk when the teen started beating him up.
