Riverdale senior Anastasia Hayes has been selected a member of the 16th annual McDonald's All American girls team. The announcement came Sunday evening. The nation's premier high school basketball all-star event will take place March 29 at Chicago's United Center

Hayes, a University of Tennessee signee, will be a member of the east squad. She's the only player selected from the state to participate. Former Blackman player Crystal Dangerfield and former Riverdale player Alexa Middleton have also been recent McDonald's All Americans selected from Rutherford County. Hayes was selected from 729 boys and girls across the country for this honor.

Hayes leads the Lady Warrior's basketball team as a senior guard. She's the defending Class AAA Miss Basketball and defending state champion. Riverdale is currently undefeated, ranked number one in the state and third nationally by the USA Today.
