"You know what time it is," is what was shouted by the robber who recently held up the Shell Gas Station on North Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro. The robbery was reported on Monday night around 11:30.

According to the clerk, a black male wearing gloves, a ski mask and a black body suit entered the store armed with a gun. The man demanded the employee open both cash registers while gathering two rolls of lottery tickets. The subject then grabbed the workers cellphone, a case of rolled pennies and cash.

Before the robber left the store, he forced the Shell employee into the bathroom. The victim said that he stayed in the restroom for about four minutes before exiting to call the police.

When officers arrived they quickly reviewed an in store security video that showed the culprit exiting the store on the north side and then head towards Campus Crossing Apartments. The clerks cellphone was then located behind the building.

Detectives in Murfreesboro are investigating the hold-up at this time. An arrest has not been made at this point.
