A strong armed robbery was reported in Murfreesboro on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred at The Point at Raiders Crossing Apartments on North Tennessee Boulevard.

The victim told police he was contacted by a female acquaintance whom he had met about two years ago and she asked him to stop by. Once at her apartment door, a man approached him from behind and grabbed him. The unknown assailant demanded the victims money while grabbing the victim's wallet out of his pocket. The culprit also took the victims cell phone.

The victim, according to a police report, asked for his belongings back. The thief took the cash out of the wallet and then threw the cell phone and billfold down and fled the scene. That was when the victim went to the parking lot in search of the robber. He then phoned the police 30 minutes later.
